In February 2020, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges collaborated on the 'Texas Sun' EP, 2 years later, in February 2022, they will release a follow up, 'Texas Moon'. I was tasked with tipping off fans that new music was coming and building a home for the releases.

In the summer of 2012, I built a version of The xx's website that slowly turned from a completely black website, in the style of their debut album, to completely white, in the style of their follow up 'Coexist'. The website changed color gradually over several weeks, apparently too gradually, because as far as I know no fans noticed! Ever since then, I have wanted to visit the idea of a site gradually changing until it reveals new artwork and I finally had the opportunity to do so! As we were going from daylight in the first EP's artwork, to night time in the new one, I built version of the site that saw the sun go down and the moon gradually rise to reveal the full artwork 4 days later.

I used CSS animations to bring the artwork to life, animating the road, pylons, clouds, and fields.

The final version of the site includes a toggle to flip between the two EP's artworks and buy links.
